Authored by: Shan Huan Wu

From 11/11/1926 to its decommission on 06/26/1985, Route 66 served as the main road for many migrating west. Stretching from Chicago, Illinois to Santa Monica, California, people today can still get their kicks on this Main Street of America. Labeled are seven of the most relevant cities along its path.

The symbol of Route 66.
From busy city streets to abandoned country roads, this shield still marks the path for those who want to follow it.
